FERROMAGNETIC DOMAIN SIZE OF TB

The temperature dependence of ferromagnetic domain size for Tb is calc ulated over the range 0 K to the ferromagnetic ordering temperature T( c) approximately 221 K and compared with earlier calculations and expe rimental data. The present results show a decrease in domain size with increasing temperature in broad agreement with the earlier calculatio ns. Discrepancies between sets of calculations and experiments at high temperatures (T greater than or similar to 180 K) may be due to domai n nucleation and/or thermal history effects.
