Abstract
Eta2-Pyrrole complexes, readily generated from the corresponding pyrro le and Os(NH3)5(OTf)3, are combined with Michael acceptors under appro priate conditions to yield selectively alpha- or beta-substituted 1H-p yrroles or 7-azabicyclo [ 2.2.1] heptanes.
