Abstract
Thyroid gland of Liza parsia comprises follicles which are scattered l oosely in the connective tissue stroma around the ventral aorta and it s afferent branchial arteries. No ectopic thyroid follicle was seen in the kindney of the mullet. In mercuric chloride treated fish, the fol licular epithelial cells tend to become columnar and the colloid exhib its varying degree of vacuolization.
