Abstract
Necrosis of the gluteal- and femural musculature following intramuscul ar injection in cows. Case reports concerning four cows with necrosis of the gluteal- and/or femural musculature (case history, clinical and bacteriological findings, treatment, course) and their supposed etiop athogenetic background are presented. In the presence of increased cir cumference in the gluteal or femural region it should be kept in mind that these might be consequences of incorrect intramuscular injections .
