Abstract
Nonlinear optical rectification in the electric-field-biased parabolic quantum well wires to resonant intersubband transitions are analyzed using a compact density-matrix approach The large nonlinear optical re ctification obtained in such structure are mainly due to the possibili ty of tuning independently the confinement frequency omega0, the appli ed electric field F and the angle theta.
