R. Klaus et al., EXTENSION OF THE APPLICATION OF THE THERMAL IN-SITU REACTION ON NH2 LAYERS TO THE DETECTION OF CATECHOLAMINES IN BIOLOGICAL-MATERIALS, Chromatographia, 37(3-4), 1993, pp. 133-143
This article describes a thin-layer chromatographic method for the det
ermination of catecholamines in human urine. Chromatographic separatio
n on NH2-modified silica gel layers is followed by in-situ visualizati
on brought about by heating the plate. The use of this derivatization
technique for other urine components, such as creatine, creatinine, ur
ic acid and glucose, is also discussed.
