C. Lecalveproust et al., SINTERING ABILITY OF BATIO3 POWDERS ELABORATED BY CITRIC PROCESS, Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 12(2), 1993, pp. 153-157
BaTiO3 powders have been elaborated by several methods using mixed cit
rate as precursor. This compound has been used alone or dissolved in a
queous or organic solutions, giving rise to different powder morpholog
ies (blocks of aggregates, hollow spheres, plate-like agglomerates, po
rous plates, blocks). The pore size distributions of the green compact
ed samples were measured by mercury in trusion and the sintering was f
ollowed by dilatometry. The sintering ability of these powders depends
essentially on their agglomeration state determined by their elaborat
ion mode. A powder densification mechanism proposed.
