Abstract
The distribution of alpha-tocopherol (alpha-Toc) stereoisomers in the tissues of rats fed on a diet containing all-rac-alpha-tocopheryl acet ate was investigated by a newly revised HPLC. The concentrations of 2R -isomers of alpha-Toc in blood and tissues of the rats were significan tly higher than those of 2S-isomers. In most tissues, the levels of 2S -isomers were in order SRS>(SSS+SSR)/2>SRR.
