Abstract
The simultaneous detection of seven laser bands belonging to the N2 2 system is reported. The excitation method used was the well-known ele ctrical transverse field one, together with two important modification s: firstly, the electric discharge was confined in order to achieve hi gh current density values and, secondly, plasma inductance was diminis hed to a very low value, becoming the only responsible for the generat ion of voltage and current ''citation pulses having rise time values a s low as 600 ps.
