Abstract
The following mixed aggregates between hexynyllithium BuC=CLi and lith ium thiocyanate, LiNCS. have been characterized by infrared spectrosco py in the nuBAR(C=N) region: the mixed species Li2(BuC=C)(NCS) in tetr ahydrofuran and dioxine and all three mixed tetranuclear species Li4(B uC=C)3(NCS), Li4(BuC=C)2(NCS)2, Li4(BuC=C)(NCS)3 in triethylamine, in the same conditions similar species are formed between PhC=CLi and LiN CS.
