M. Nimmo et R. Chester, THE CHEMICAL SPECIATION OF DISSOLVED NICKEL AND COBALT IN MEDITERRANEAN RAINWATERS, Science of the total environment, 135(1-3), 1993, pp. 153-160
Twenty-six rainwater samples were collected from a sampling site situa
ted on the Southeastern French Mediterranean coast, over a 9-month per
iod in 1988-1989, to evaluate the atmospheric inputs of trace metals t
o the Western Mediterranean. Cathodic stripping voltammetry (CSV) was
applied to samples before and after UV irradiation to determine the co
ncentrations of dissolved Ni and Co. Results indicated the existence o
f very stable dissolved organic Ni and Co complexes.
