POSTIMPLEMENTATION REVIEWS OF INVESTMENT - EVIDENCE FROM A 2-STAGE STUDY

This paper provides evidence about the use of post-implementation revi ews of investment (PIRs) from a two-stage study of PIRs among firms in the UK financial services and distributive industries. Case studies o f new PIR users, one from each sector, are presented, examining the ro le, benefits and difficulties of introducing PIRs within specific indu strial, organisational and cultural settings. These are set in the con text of findings from the earlier postal questionnaire, and previous e mpirical studies are also briefly reviewed.
