On the basis of experiences in measuring infrared thermoluminescence s
ignals of TLD-300 detectors with a silicon semiconductor photodiode, f
urther rare earth doped CaF2 crystals were studied with regard to thei
r TL emission in the near infrared spectrum. The dopant elements were
Tm, Gd, Nd, Er and Eu. The crystals were grown using the Stockbarger-B
ridgeman method in a high vacuum furnace. The measurements of the IR-T
L signals in an IR-TL reader with a photodiode are reported.
