Abstract
Tricyclic cyclohexa-2,4-dienones and methylenecyclohexadienes which ar e potentially useful for diterpenoid synthesis have been prepared by c yclisation of 1,3,5-hexatriene-i-ones and 1,2,4,6-heptatetraenes.
