Abstract
To determine how often inborn errors of metabolism may cause unexplain ed apnea or recurrent apparent life-threatening events in infants, we retrospectively reviewed the records of 166 infants who were referred for apnea evaluation. A metabolic disorder was identified in 7 infants (4.2%), all of whom had recurrent apparent life-threatening events.
