Abstract
The preparation of two new medium polar CH3O-terminated 50% diphenyl s ubstituted polysiloxane phases by means of a one step condensation of bis(dimethylamino)alkylsilanes and diphenylsilanediol is reported. Bot h phases can be used up to temperatures of 420-degrees-C. The unusual route of synthesis offers an easy and reliable way to prepare a variet y of tailor-made high temperature stable polysiloxane phases.
