Ams. Abdennabi et Sm. Sultan, DIFFERENTIAL ELECTROLYTIC POTENTIOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF CAFFEINE INNONAQUEOUS MEDIA, Electroanalysis, 5(8), 1993, pp. 709-712
The application of direct current differential electrolytic potentiome
try (dc DEP) to the titration of caffeine in acetic anhydride-toluene
mixture has been investigated. A very stable low current source has be
en constructed to polarize the antimony electrodes. The behavior of th
ese electrodes during the titration of caffeine has been examined. Caf
feine in commercial samples like tea, Pepsi as a beverage and Prontopy
rin, a proprietary drug, was extracted in chloroform and determined by
dc DEP.
