Abstract
The modulated optical pump signal was boosted by an Er3+-doped fiber a mplifier and was efficiently injected into the cavity of the probed la ser diode by means of a fibre polarisation controller incorporated wit h a 2 x 2 fibre coupler. By keeping the pump wavelength a few nanometr es away from the lasing wavelength of the probed DFB laser, the measur ed results are just the parasitic-free frequency response of the probe d DFB laser.
