INTERACTION OF ALKYLAMINES WITS MONTMORIL LONITE

The review gives a concise recapitulation of the history of the resear ch of interaction of alkylamines with montmorillonite and summarizes t he main achievements concerning especially their preparation methods, determination of their structure and characterisation of different str ucture types in relation to their remarkable properties. Attention has been paid to methods of determination of layer charge of clay mineral s and to structures of alkylammonium ions and alkanol in the interlaye r space of montmorillonite (70 refs.).
