Abstract
A phytosociological analysis of the low thicket vegetation of the rock y outcrops of the Heilbron-Lindley-Warden-Villiers area (northern Oran ge Free State) was conducted. Releves were compiled in 67 stratified r andom sample plots. A TWINSPAN classification, refined by Braun-Blanqu et procedures, revealed eight distinct plant communities. A hierarchic al classification, description, plant-ecological interpretation and or dination of the plant communities are presented.
