An analysis of the vegetation of the Golden Gate Highlands National Pa
rk is presented. Releves were compiled in 90 stratified random sample
plots. A TWINSPAN classification, refined by applying Braun-Blanquet p
rocedures, revealed nine distinct plant communities. A hierarchical cl
assification, a description and an ecological interpretation of the pl
ant communities are presented.
