Abstract
The 2-alkyl derivatives of -trifluoroacetyliminothiazolo[3,2-alpha]pyr idinium hydroxide were synthesized in quantitative yield by treatment of either 2-(pyridine-2-thiyl)-carboxamides or the corresponding nitri les with trifluoroacetic anhydride in dichloromethane. (C) 1997 Elsevi er Science Ltd.
