Abstract
Doppler broadened gamma spectra from positron annihilations in alumina and several zeolites were measured as a function of internal surfaces . In all cases, the gamma line shape parameter was found to vary propo rtionally with surface area. The results greatly enhance the potential of using positron annihilation spectroscopy as a microprobe for surfa ce studies of porous materials.
