Abstract
We canonically quantize the extended theory of chiral bosons described by the Floreanini-Jackiw Lagrangian to include an interaction potenti al, and obtain that the commutation relations of interacting chiral bo sons coincide with those of free ones. We then construct an alternativ e Lorentz-type symmetry for this theory in terms of the basic commutat ion relation.
