Abstract
A study of Belousov-Zhabotinskii system with 15 different substrates i n phosphoric acid medium with ferroin/Mn(II) as catalysts is made. It is noticed that ferroin gives rise to more varied oscillatory behaviou r than Mn(II). In general, the ratio of onset periods, t(in)[ferroin]/ t(in)[Mn(II)], for the system containing acetone as one of the mixed o rganic substrates is found to be almost-equal-to 1.5 to 2.0.
