Abstract
Spatial characteristics of exciplex lamp radiation are investigated. A n analytical expression to calculate the radiation intensity distribut ion at various distances from a cylindrical source has been derived. A drastic fall of intensity with growth of the distance has been reveal ed. Powerful radiation at 193, 222, 250 and 308 nm has been obtained, the power density being up to 5 kW/cm2.
