Abstract
X-ray spectroscopy is applied to determine parameters of magnesium pla sma heated by picosecond laser pulses. Experiments are carried out at a flux density of the laser radiation of approximately 1.5.10(4) W/cm2 . To register X-ray spectra, spectrographs with a plane CsAP crystal a nd with a mica crystal flexed to a sphere 10 cm in radius are used. Th e experimental data obtained are compared with the calculations of non stationary kinetics of multicharge magnesium ions.
