Abstract
Using a fully toroidal, collisionless, low frequency model, we show th at low amplitude, circularly polarized waves can, depending on antenna geometry (i) drive the toroidal EMF necessary to sustain a tokamak re actor, or (ii) shift the internal current profile. Measurements on a s mall tokamak to test (ii) agree with the model predictions.
