Ck. Mcdonald et al., NEUTROPHILIC CSF PLEOCYTOSIS IN HYPERTENSIVE ENCEPHALOPATHY, The American journal of the medical sciences, 306(3), 1993, pp. 167-168
A patient with hypertensive crisis developed encephalopathy with a lum
bar puncture revealing neutrophilic pleocytosis. No explanation for he
r case could be found, eg, no evidence of infection or vasculitis. It
is concluded that the most probable cause of her neutrophilic cerebros
pinal fluid pleocytosis is hypertensive encephalopathy.
