Abstract
Callus lines and regenerants maintainable in sterile culture were obta ined from horseradish (Armoracia rusticana L.) leaf pieces on modified Murashige and Skoog medium with the addition of 0.25 mg/liter kinetin and 1 mg/liter NAA. Horseradish plants can be propagated from cutting s with one axillary bud after addition of 0.05 mg/liter gibberellic ac id to the nutrient medium, as well as from regenerated plants arising in isolated root culture. Based on analysis of peroxidase content, sel ection of new productive forms in horseradish tissue culture is shown to be possible at both the cell and plant levels.
