The following reactions were investigated with a combined ESR/IR LMR s
pectrometer with a jet discharge setup: FO + H-2 --> products, FO + CO
--> products, FO + NO --> F + NO2. The following upper limits were ob
tained for the rate constants of reactions of FO radicals with H-2 and
CO: k(H-2) < 1.0 . 10(-17) and < 1.0 . 10(-16) cm3/sec, k(CO) < 4 . 1
0(-17) and < 5 . 10(-16) Cm3/SeC at 300 and 550 K, respectively. It wa
s shown that the rate constant of the reaction of FO radicals with NO
in the 300-845 K range is described by the equation k(NO) = (1.85 +/-
0.15) . 10(-11) (T/300)-(0.66+/-0.13) cm3/sec.
