Abstract
Amygdalin is a cyanogenic glycoside occurring among others in almonds and bitter apricot seeds. Utilization of seeds for human or animal nut rition requires adequate detoxification. The-present method for screen ing microbial cultures for their ability to degrade amygdalin is a con venient micro-titre version based on the picrate reaction principle.
