Gb. Feige et al., IDENTIFICATION OF LICHEN SUBSTANCES BY A STANDARDIZED HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID-CHROMATOGRAPHIC METHOD, Journal of chromatography, 646(2), 1993, pp. 417-427
A method for the identification of secondary aromatic lichen substance
s using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with reversed-ph
ase columns, gradient elution and benzoic and solorinic acids as stand
ards has been developed. A retention index (I), calculated from the el
ution time of the appropriate peak with reference to the standards, is
used in identification. I values are recorded for 331 compounds chrom
atographed in this standard system.
