Dr. Crane, MAINTAINING ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC-CONTROL (EHC) SYSTEMS FOR TURBINE GENERATORS USING PHOSPHATE ESTER EHC FLUID, IEEE transactions on industry applications, 29(4), 1993, pp. 740-742
The reliability of electro-hydraulic-controlled (EHC) turbine generato
rs can be increased by properly maintaining the hydraulic system and f
luid. With increasing cost of production downtime and energy, the dema
nd for reliable turbine generator operation becomes more prevalent yea
r after year. The purpose of this paper is to describe the necessary r
equirements for maintaining the electro-hydraulic system through prope
r care of the phosphate ester fluid. In addition, this paper will addr
ess the expected results of operating a system with contaminated fluid
and the cleanup of a contaminated system.
