Abstract
A small, easy-to-use and low-cost electronic compass for the use of bl ind or deaf-blind pedestrians (ECBDB) has been built. This compass can distinguish eight orientations and output the corresponding electrica l signals in the form of audio for the blind or electric pulses for th e deaf-blind to aid him/her to know which direction he/she is facing.
