Abstract
Organogembismetallic species derived from carbozincation of alkenyllit hiums were shown to undergo chlorination with phenylsulfonyl chloride to afford alpha-chloro carbenoids. These were able to react with organ ometallic nucleophiles via an intramolecular nucleophilic substitution process.
