Abstract
Finite field/PM3 calculations of the dipole moments, polarizabilities, first - order hyperpolarizabilities and second - order hyperpolarizab ilities of cyclobutene - 1, 2 - dione derivatives suggest that these c ompounds are good candidates for nonlinear optical materials.
