Abstract
Post harvest behaviour of strawberries wrapped in WVTR plastic films ( MD and MY) has been investigated. Wrapped strawberries showed 1% weigh t loss during 10 days of storage at 4-degrees-C while unwrapped strawb erries (control) lost 5.5% weight in only 3 days. Firmness loss of wra pped strawberries was 9% (0.15 N/mm) after 6 days of storage at 4-degr ees-C; unwrapped strawberries lost around 25% (0.4 N/mm). Firmness and weight loss limits (1.3 N/mm and 4%, respectively) for saleability ha ve been reported.
