C. Roussel et C. Popescu, POLYACYLATION OF PROPENE DERIVATIVES - AL LYLTRIMETHYLSILANE AS PRECURSOR, Revue Roumaine de Chimie, 38(4), 1993, pp. 425-437
The polyacylation of allyltrimethylsilane in Friedel-Crafts medium, pe
rformed for the first time, gave pyrylium salts. The diacetylation of
allyltrimethylsilane under Friedel-Crafts conditions was studied by an
experimental design. The yield in 2,6-lutidine (obtained from 2,6-dim
ethylpyrylium salt by an in situ treatment with aqueous ammonia) deter
mined by CPV analysis was 23%. The influence of treatment for transfor
mation into pyridines on the yield in 2,6-lutidine and on the formatio
n of tri- and tetraacylation products was also studied. The diacetylat
ion of allyltrimethylsilane in protonic medium leads to traces of 2,6-
lutidine.
