The Sunday evening image interpretation session of the Radiological So
ciety of North America remains a highlight of the annual meeting, and
it has survived the test of time for over 4 decades. This session offe
rs stimulating cases for the panelists and audience to evaluate and sy
nthesize. The cases are challenging but not obscure. Two of the cases
are related to breast disease, an innovation for this year's session.
With the brief histories given and the pertinent images supplied (and
by the grace of God), the panelists, recognized experts in their respe
ctive subspecialties of radiology, should have an excellent opportunit
y to meet the challenge and to provide the correct diagnosis for each
case. But don't forget, to err is human. The basic intent of this sess
ion is to educate all who attend. You can be assured that the moderato
r and the panelists will do their best.
