Rci. Sala et al., APPLICATION OF 2-DIMENSIONAL NMR TO THE STRUCTURE DETERMINATION OF ANUNSYMMETRICAL MONOSUBSTITUTED BISPORPHYRIN, Magnetic resonance in chemistry, 31(9), 1993, pp. 878-880
The complete assignment of H-1 and C-13 data of an unsymmetrical monos
ubstitute bisporphyrin based on an extensive application of two-dimens
ional H-1-H-1, H-1-C-13 and C-13-C-13 shift spectroscopy is described.
The H-1-H-1 shift correlation through dipolar interaction (2D NOESY)
was essential to prove the connection of the alkyl fragments and to di
stinguish protons spatially close but belonging to different units. Th
e additive structural increments method allowed the assignment of the
quatenary carbons of tolyl residues.
