Abstract
Hfr-like donors of virulent Erwinia carotovora subsp. atroseptica stra in 3-2 were constructed using the conjugative plasmid R471a and the tr ansposon Tn5 as a region of plasmid-chromosome homology. The donor str ains JN10 and JN20 transfer 27 chromosomal markers in dic oriented man ner with frequencies 1 . 10(-7)-5 . 10(-4). The experiments with inter rupted mating permitted to consider these donor strains to be suitable for mapping E. carotovora subsp. atroseptica 3-2 chromosome.
