A method has been developed for analytic investigation of methyl, ethy
l and butyl alcohols ethoxylation products. The products are mixtures
containing various amounts of alcohols as well as methyl, ethyl and bu
tyl monoethers of mono-, di-, tri- and tetraethylene glycols. The anal
ysis employed a glass column filled with Chromosorb G AW DMCS 100/120
mesh, and two stationary phases: OV-225 3 %(m/m) -sector of 0.90 m, an
d OV-17 3 %(m/m) - sector of 2.7 m. Separation was carried out at temp
eratures of 70-200-degrees-C with linear programming of heating rate 4
-degrees-C min-1.
