As. Kamzin et al., AUTOMATIC MOSSBAUER SPECTROMETER TO DETECT GAMMA-QUANTA, CONVERSION ELECTRONS, AND CHARACTERISTIC X-RAYS, Instruments and experimental techniques, 36(1), 1993, pp. 51-58
This spectrometer generates Mossbauer spectra with the simultaneous de
tection of gamma-quanta in the transmission geometry and characteristi
c X-rays, the spectrometer also detects conversion and Auger-electrons
in the backward-scattering geometry. The spectrometer is based on a d
etector which can simultaneously detect these radiations. The temperat
ure of the specimen may vary froin 100 to 750-degrees-K. The electroni
cs of the spectrometer fits the CAMAC standard and is computer control
led. A high-precision unit determines the motion of the Doppler modula
tor. Pulses from the detector chambers are input to three spectrum sto
rage units after being amplified and after amplitude selection, the de
ad time of the storage units is under 5 nsec.
