Abstract
In this paper we formulate the position controllability problem for th e movement of a flexible body in ideal fluid. We derive generic condit ions under which the movement of a deformable body is position-control lable. The general theory developed in this pap er is illustrated with an example of steering of a flexible domain in ideal irrotational 3-D flow.
