El. Abel et Rf. Berman, EFFECTS OF WATER IMMERSION STRESS ON CONVULSIONS INDUCED BY PENTYLENETETRAZOL, Pharmacology, biochemistry and behavior, 45(4), 1993, pp. 823-825
Increasing durations of water immersion stress were associated with in
creased serum corticosterone levels, decreased severity of pentylenete
trazol-induced convulsions, and increased latencies to convulse in rat
s. The results were interpreted in terms of the effects of stress and
pentylenetetrazol's actions on GABAergic mechanisms.
