Abstract
Bispyrazolo[3,4-a;4',3'-j]acridines 4a-g have been prepared from the 2 ,7-di(hydroxymethylene) - 3,4,5,6-tetrahydro-1,8 (2H, 7H)-acridinedion es 3 by reaction with hydrazine/phenylhydrazine. Reaction of 3 with DA MN or o-phenylenediamine gives the respective Schiff base 6 or 7.
