Sj. Weiss, PREDICTORS OF NEUROBEHAVIORAL RESPONSE DURING TACTILE STIMULATION OF INFANTS WITH CONGENITAL HEART-DISEASE, Infant behavior & development, 16(2), 1993, pp. 261-264
This experiment was designed to determine the degree to which temperam
ent, severity of illness, age, and gender predict the neurobehavioral
responses of high-risk infants during tactile stimulation. Results ind
icated that temperament was the most consistent predictor of greater p
hysiologic and behavioral distress during touch.
