Abstract
We investigated the corrosion behavior of steel U8 in different struct ural states under conditions of hydrogen (1 N solution of H2SO4) and o xygen (3% solution of NaCl) depolarization. The article shows that the technology of thermal strengthening has a substantial effect on the c orrosion resistance of steel With comparable hardness (strength) lamel lar structures of decomposition of austenite, originating with isother mal transformations in a wide range of temperatures, prove to be corro sively more active than the structures of hardening and tempering with granular (globular) cementite.
