methods of taking into account the nonlinearity of polarization curves
in calculating the distribution of the potential and current on the s
urface of interacting dissimilar metals are examined. The effect of di
fferent types of nonlinearities on the required characteristics is eva
luated and recommendations are given on linearization of polarization
curves both in the case of nonlinearities of a small order and for lar
ge nonlinearities. An algorithm is proposed for numerical calculations
of the distribution of current in the case of multiple-valve polariza
tion curves, especially, in examining anodically passivating metals.
